Job Title:  Android Developer

Department/Category: Development/Android

Reports to : Scrum Master

Commitment: Yearly contract 

 

Android Developer Job Duties:

• Build and Design Android applications for Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Work with outside data sources and REST API's.
• Deliver across the entire app life cycle –concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Write/maintain documentation for the client and other team members.

 

Technical Skills

• Java 
• Basic understanding of OOP
• Android studio and GitLab
• Basic understanding of activities and fragments
• Basic understanding of services, broadcast receivers, processes and threads
• Networking in android
• Basic understanding of Maps and locations
• Working with Firebase

Personal Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or any related subject
• 2+ year of proven experience as an Android Developer or similar role.
• Experience with Android SDK
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Attention to details.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge in Agile methodology.
